Renewable Energy

Georgia offers an attractive opportunity for investments in wind power plants.

Wind potential in Georgia is 4 TWh.

Gori wind power plant is an example of the first and successful project in the field of renewable energy, in Georgia.

The power plants total capacity is  20.7 megawatts.

The station consists of 6 units of turbines over 90 meters high and earns 84.1 million kWh of electricity per year.

The creation of similar stations in Georgia will lead to the country's energy independence and reduce the need for energy imports.

It should be noted, that,  Gori / Shida Kartli region selected for the wind power plant turned out to be the best place in Georgia, and this direction has a great perspective for development.

Based on preliminary analysis, it is assumed that by 2030, the share of energy generated by wind in Georgia will reach 10%.
