2892 economic subjects operate in Gori municipality, it is favorable for doing business. First of all, the municipality has a strategic location.

The municipality is close to the capital and is crossed by highways of international importance.

There is a diverse landscape and ecosystem, the municipality has rich agricultural traditions and many cultural heritage sites. Gori Municipality is a historical center of viticulture and winemaking.

It has the necessary resources for the development of adventure and pilgrimage and sport tourism. There are also resources for healing-balneological waters. The local government always expresses its readiness to develop these resources.

State program  "Plant the Future"

Supported Activities:

• planting perennial gardens
• creation/development of nurseries
• Arrangement of anti-hail systems and/or well/well/drip irrigation systems
• Funding of seedlings damaged by natural disasters                                                                                                                        

Short description:

Financial and technical assistance for planting new gardens of perennial crops, modernization of existing gardens, creation or development of nurseries.

Note:  Within the framework of the garden component, the program applies to all municipalities and self-governing cities of Georgia. Within the framework of the seedlings component, the program extends to all municipalities and self-governing cities of Georgia.

  Target group:

An individual citizen of Georgia (except for the nursery component ) or an entrepreneur individual / legal entity registered in accordance with the law in Georgia , including an agricultural cooperative.

Note : The beneficiary cannot be an enterprise in which the state directly or indirectly owns a share.

"Gore Entrepreneurs Club"  has been founded in Gori Municipality 

The event was organized by Glori Municipality Development and the river "Tana" and "Tedzami" Protected Landscape Management Agency,  the Swiss international organization "Helvetas"  and the "Gori Inn"  hotel.

At the meeting, the organizers and members of the club talked about strengthening the economic development opportunities of Gori municipality, identifying the challenges in the region and ways to overcome them.

There were also discussed current projects and future plans of the agency in the direction of promotion of entrepreneurship and economic development.

Along with local business representatives, representatives of the Gori Municipality Council, City Hall, Shida Kartli Regional Administration, Chamber of Commerce Regional Office, and Swiss International Organization "Helvetas" attended the founding of the club.

"Gore Entrepreneurs Club"  will actively continue its work with the support of the agency and taking into account the experience of foreign organizations.
